History
The Loigge family bought tiny “Pension Jutta” back in 1965. The guesthouse originally had 14 guest rooms eight of which had bathroom and toilet and balcony facing the lake. All the other rooms still had bathroom and toilet in the corridor. The first summer season the two of us experienced together was in 1967.In winter 1973, we attempted our first renovation, adding six bathrooms and balconies.
In 1979, the decision was made to have a major refurbishment, adding an extension with a large hotel lobby with reception, an indoor swimming pool and, in the floor above, ten very spacious guestrooms with bathroom and WC. Construction work began in October 1978 and was completed in the following April.
As early as 1985, a major refurbishment took place again with hotel apartments including cooking facilities and several guestrooms being added on the top floor. The eight oldest bathrooms were all refitted in 1991 and at the same time the hotel lobby was refurnished.
In 2001, it was the terraces’ and gardens’ turn to be renewed and extended.
The hotel kitchen got a complete face-lift in 2004. In spring 2006, we invested in the refurbishment of 13 rooms, which are now decorated in light maple wood and harmonious colours.
In 2008, the hotel switched over to using chip cards instead of room keys. Apart from that, our cabinetmaker built an elegant buffet for serving breakfast. The following year, the reception received a good makeover as did five bathrooms.
Five further bathrooms are being planned for next year.
